1.High Tea at the Corinthia Hotel:

The High Tea at the Corinthia hotel is very nice and fancy. It made me feel very important! There is delicious tea and hot chocolate so we decided to ask where we could personally buy it. I definitely recommend the berry hibiscus tea and I can’t wait to buy some on the website our server gave us: www.cantontea.com. I think I had about 4 cups of that tea! The tea sandwiches were amazing too! There were many different kinds and they kept on coming! You could even ask for extra one of your favorite sandwiches. My favorite was the roasted turkey breast with sundried tomato mayonnaise and watercress. Honestly, I thought all of the sandwiches were delicious except for the smoked salmon one. I wish we could make those sandwiches at home. Next, we had an outstanding scone with jam and clotted cream. The scone was one of the best parts because it wasn’t too sweet and it was warm. It was so good, especially with the clotted cream and jam. I am still not exactly sure what clotted cream is but It is somewhat like thick butter. I tried to take the scone home with me but it just doesn’t taste as good when it’s cold with no clotted cream or jam. Lastly, we had a cake stand full of mini desserts which might have been a little too much for us because we were so full. The desserts were incredible! There were so many kinds to choose from. There was a lemon cake, pistachio madeleine, chocolate hazelnut tart, and strawberry white chocolate tartlet, to name a few. The desserts were so fancy that they had a very tiny piece of edible gold on them.  In the end, I really enjoyed the experience and I would 100% do it again!

2. Horrible Histories of London - The London Dungeon Tour

I would only recommend this tour to kids over the age of 11 years old, but it was probably our favorite tour in London! This is like a haunted house with actors who play important people in London’s history. You walk underground and the whole experience was very scary. You get jump scared a lot while moving to different rooms. There was the plague that killed many people including the one doctor. The most scary part was the time when my dad got picked to get his head chopped of like King Charles the first. At the end there is a ride with a drop and I really recommend it.

3. Matilda - the Musical

Matilda was probably the best play I have seen! The actors in the play are amazing, especially the kids. They are truly talented and the play truly shows what the actual movie is like. They are also very good singers. I was amazed at how great they planned out the play and some of the parts are very funny. At one point during the play, there is a part where the evil teacher, Ms. Trunchbull, swings around a kid by her braids into the sky. Then, somehow, she comes flying down from above and lands on a sheet of cloth that they were holding to catch her! I have so many questions about how this scene was done! In the end it was an incredible play and I would recommend it to anyone and for any age.

4. Rocket Speed Boat Tour in the Thames River

The rocket bout tour is very fun and  I really recommend it for kids that like going on fast boats. On the boat, you get a small life vest which you wear the whole time. And the boat is so fast and crazy and sways from side to side across the Thames River. You also get to see some London sites.

5. The Tower of London Tour

We highly recommend a Tower of London tour for anyone who wants to learn more about the gruesome history of England. The Tower of London is a fortress, a castle, a prison and where UK’s Crown Jewels are held. Here, you walk around the many castle towers and learn about all the executions and tortures that took place years ago. There is a group of guards known as the Beef Eaters that still live here with their families and gaurd the Crown Jewels of England. We got to see the Crown Jewels up close. Lia’s favorite Queen Victoria’s diamond crown. Mateo’s favorite was the jeweled sword with diamonds, rubies, emeralds and sapphires.
